Pulled muscle back of knee

I have still have a lot of discomfort in the front of knee just below the knee cap and also a lot of muscle pulling behind knee down into my calf. I cant sleep I have put Voltare and muscle creams on it massage heat and have done my physical therapy and excercises at home. Even if your pain in back of knee goes away with the quick fix, the muscles we work on may not be the only cause of your knee pain.
