Asian pear salad

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, Dijon mustar sugar (or honey), pinch of salt, and a few good grinds of pepper. Add the shallots to the vinaigrette then set aside. Its snappy texture is good with greens, prosciutto, and dates in a seasonal salad.


Crisp vegetables and pears are tossed in a sweet, tangy dressing. It’s beautiful to look at, delicious and so simple to fix. Whisk together first ingredients.

In a large serving bowl, combine frisée, pears , and pecans. This recipe is part of our street food menu. Dressed in a clean-tasting apple cider vinaigrette, it’s perfect for a warm day or any time you need a light detox.


A quick and easy Asian-style salad ! Use a julienne tool if you have one to make this Thai-inspired pear coleslaw. Their crisp, juicy flesh makes a sweet and surprising addition to any salad , but pairs especially well with celery and arugula. The simple dressing, with a touch of lemon and toasted sesame oil, makes this an ideal accompaniment for grilled fish or chicken.


No big deal, use any pear you like! This is a really great way to get the veggie-averse to eat some greens.

Who doesn’t love pears and pomegranates? Cucumber and pumpkin seeds add more flavour and texture. Asian pears are more similar to apples than to other pears. I dress this salad with a simple emulsion of oil and vinegar with a little salt and pepper. Look for the large, brown, apple-shaped fruit in well-stocked supermarkets near other specialty fruit.


Place chicken and bay leaves in a medium saucepan, add water to cover and bring to a boil. Adjust salt and honey to taste. Use coconut oil to lightly coat a saute pan. Cook kale in batches over medium low heat until bright green and slightly soft. The service was equally impressive, attentive but not annoying.

Asian Pear Salad is made with fresh mixed baby greens, just open the bag and pour into your bowl(can it get any simpler than that?), chop some green onion, juicy asian pears, toss with a light sesame ginger dressing of your choice, and garnish with some black sesame seeds to add depth and and elegant flare.


Put the pear juice in a saucepan and set over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and skim the thick foam that rises to the surface. Reduce the heat to low and simmer very gently, skimming occasionally,. Let it cool a few minutes (it should still be hot,) then stir in dried figs and cranberries. Remove from the pan and let cool.


Break walnuts apart and set aside.
